The Plant Based Challenge

If you read my plant based blog, you know that I am a huge proponent of the plant based diet. Full disclosure though, I’m horrible at maintaining any diet.

I’ve been guilty of creating false promises to myself as I fell into the trap of “yo-yo dieting“. In the past, I would go into work and decline the offer for a muffin because “I was avoiding sugar that week” but then crave sugar and cave. I was constantly craving what I told myself I couldn’t have and it was creating a bad relationship with food. 

My mentally was all wrong. Thankfully, I’ve taught myself that the key to a healthy relationship with food is to enjoy the food you love in moderation. To be clear, I didn’t diet because I thought I was fat, I dieted because I wanted to be healthier. The term diet though, just didn’t work for me. It felt restrictive and I hate rules. 

For the next 4 weeks, I am making it my personal goal to maintain the plant based LIFESTYLE. It’s not a diet, it’s a lifestyle. I am doing this 4 week challenge because I know it’s a healthier way of living; the research proves it!

You guys are keeping me accountable and I’m so grateful for that.

I’ll be vlogging, blogging, and posting new recipes during this exploration! Keep coming back to this page as I’ll be updating it and letting you know my honest progress each week.

I’d love for you to join me from Monday May 4th until June 1st for this plant based challenge.
