If you read my plant based blog, you know that I am a huge proponent of the plant based diet. Full disclosure though, I’m horrible at maintaining any diet.
I’ve been guilty of creating false promises to myself as I fell into the trap of “yo-yo dieting“. In the past, I would go into work and decline the offer for a muffin because “I was avoiding sugar that week” but then crave sugar and cave. I was constantly craving what I told myself I couldn’t have and it was creating a bad relationship with food.
My mentally was all wrong. Thankfully, I’ve taught myself that the key to a healthy relationship with food is to enjoy the food you love in moderation. To be clear, I didn’t diet because I thought I was fat, I dieted because I wanted to be healthier. The term diet though, just didn’t work for me. It felt restrictive and I hate rules.
For the next 4 weeks, I am making it my personal goal to maintain the plant based LIFESTYLE. It’s not a diet, it’s a lifestyle. I am doing this 4 week challenge because I know it’s a healthier way of living; the research proves it!
You guys are keeping me accountable and I’m so grateful for that.
